Union With Christ In Ephesians 1-2

During my morning Bible meditation I was once again struck at the number of blessings Paul describes because of our Union with Christ in just the first two chapters of Ephesians. Here is a simple breakdown for your amazement – this list should cause us to “sing like never before.” I have included an Evernote link at the bottom with this same information in case you would like to import this list in your Evernote account.

Chapter 1
  • v.3 – in Christ we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing from the heavenly places. Paul will then list several of those blessings, beginning with our election (the very topic we most want to avoid).
  • v.4 – in Christ we were chosen to be holy and blameless.
  • v.5 – in Christ we were adopted as sons and daughters in God’s family
  • v.6 – in Christ we are blessed by the glorious grace of God.
  • v.7 – in Christ we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
  • v.9 – in Christ the mystery of God’s will has been made known to us.
